Hi I am running retropie on a Pi3 which has been good for about 4 months on V3.7. Lately however I have lost two key bindings in mame-libretro only, these are the player one - down (one both the keyboard and my X Arcade controller) and the button to bring up the key bindings TAB on keyboard.

The down (on keyboard as X arcade) works fine within the retropie menus, I just cannot get it to work within a mame game. I suspect that it is lost the mame keybinding but without being able to get into the menu to set key bindings (TAB) I cannot check this. I also cant seem to find where the config file for the mame keybindings is located.

      Any help??

      Thanks

Just rebind in the input configuration. What's the problem?

Done that a few times - you are talking about the bindings in the retropie menu's iteself?
After doing this then the down works in retropies menus just fine but when I play a mame game there is no down in the game and I cannot get into the game keybindings to check if that has changed.
          Happens for all mame games

You must have changed the config file and set to per system config and save on exit. Check using rgui menu. If not, download RetroArch and overwrite your configs for the system and emulator.

Ok managed to get the TAB back by remove the default.cfg file in \home\pi\RetroPie\roms\mame-libretro\mame2003\config

Resetup the ingame mame button configs and it is all working as it was before. Thanks
