Have been using FileZilla for a few months with no problems until a recent upgrade to FileZilla 3.21. Most files now receive a connection timeout error. I have found you can change the time... Settings > Connection > Timeout in seconds ... but this does not seem to help.

      Using a Pi3 with the Retropie 4.01.

Appreciate any assistance. I have a vague recollection of needing to change a setting in FileZilla when I started this whole process but can't recall what that might have been.

      Thank you!

as a workaround I would suggest you use winscp

Thanks - I should have mentioned I'm on a MAC though.

'Cyberduck' is a viable alternative and a fan favorite in the Mac community.

I use FileZilla with no issues with the latest version. Have you tried to create a new connection with pi? I know out of laziness I just do a quick connect most of the time.

If your using mac just use standard SCP

                Open up a terminal
cd to the directory your roms are
                then use the command
                scp (*) pi@youripadress:/home/pi/retropie/roms/appropriategameromfolder

It wont let me put the wildcard but the wildcard symbol should just be there without the parentheses

Thanks everyone. I reinstalled retropie and all is smooth again. Not 100% sure what was causing the conflict.
