I've been transferring roms to RetroPie via Samba the first time I used it, and it worked great (2 roms for SNES, and 2 for N64). I connected via Macos with smb://retropie as a guest (didn't have username or password)

A little later, I tried adding some new roms through the same method. I managed to connect to smb://retropie, once again as a guest, I transferred 2 new roms for N64 and one (.cue + .bin) to PSX. After restarting RetroPie, it's can't see the roms in the menues.

Is there something extra to do when adding new roms? Like refreshing the list or something?

      Thanks!

      Info :

RetroPie Version Used: latest (downloaded yesterday)
Built From: image from RetroPie website

Best way is disconnect ur wired or wifi and reconnect under a new IP with the user name and password it will work much better.
I have done this in the past it will connect with a wrong or no user name via samba but the speeds will be messed up and it won't copy correctly

Just re do the wired or wifi process r set a user name and password change u will be fine.
Once ur sama server is installed ur set u can setup a new user name and password as well if u want.

Those credentials are not used by default for the samba shares

Alright, so I re-installed Retropie on my micro-sd card and all seems to be good now. I hope it won't happen again though... Thanks!

The only thing I can think of is that you enables the "parse gamelists only" option in ES which would make it ignore new roms (unless they have been scraped).
