I've transferred roms to retropie but cannot get them to load

My controller worked yesterday day, but as of yesterday night, it lets me scroll to the game system I want, but once I am in the game none of the buttons are working. I have reconfigured it...

I have loaded several roms, but I keep getting different messages.

Most of my Atari games are doing the same thing. Atlantis loads, but the controller doesn't work once in the game. Last night I played a smidgen of sonic and a smidgen of spiderman for the Genesis. Also, my sega master system games are giving me an error message (pictures attached)). I'm sorry if I'm becoming a pain. I am just at a total loss and need some help!
