Only now I noticed that you can loop through the map!

I still didn't understand how exactly the "condition" works...

Green means there is a low threat. Yellow means you are active in the fight and red means the level is taking you too long so they will try extra hard to kill you. The fourth one who's name I can't remember means that there is a small squad of enemies following you and it gives you a location of them on the map

@Cole_48 so it has nothing to do with fuel. Thanks.

I'm usually really good at this game but I just couldn't pass 28000+. Was going to take a snap shot with my camera but a bit embarrassed to actually do it. lol. So. Instead, I'm going to post this just for giggles.

During the month of October, I try to devote whatever little gaming time I have to horror themed retro games to put me in a mood. So last night I found myself mostly playing 'Night Trap', 'The Rocky Horror Show' and 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors'. I love what you guys are doing with this and I plan on jumping back in later. To keep the ball rolling, I'm including a picture of Vicki, the little robot girl from 'Small Wonder'.

Sorry for posting on such an old topic. Was just playing this game again (it's excellent!). The level positions seemed different and I wondered if that's due to me playing another version? Or old age memory. Which version were people playing for this as there are a few revisions?

@buzz I'm not entirely sure how to tell what version I'm running but pressing TAB then 'Game Information' brings up this information, which does say this is the 'new version' suggesting there's probably multiple versions?

I haven't played this for a while but notice that my version doesn't run in mame2003, I'm using advmame1.4 for this one.

@gtbfilms In the compatibility list are several versions listed, while the (new version) is the base version in Mame. I never played this game and will try it out. Hopefully it does run with mame2003 or mame2010, as I don't want to use advmame.

Nice to hear of you getting to play a game and not just tightening screws or putting out fires.

OK, since necroposting on ROW is apparently allowed, I'll start with the oldest first.

This game has always been one of my loves.

Hints: Unless you are chasing the spy ship (ALWAYS chase the spy ship, letting it get away will cause instant RED ALERT), turn your back to enemies to fire at them with the rear gun, you will run into them less often

Don't kill bases right away by blasting the center. Blow off a few cannons before moving in for the kill. You'll get a lot more points.

As mentioned before, you MUST kill those annoying spy ships, and once it comes onto the screen it will move away from you to get away. If if does, you are blessed with instant RED ALERT status and will be onslaught with enemies until you die.

System Config: Retropie 4.4 with full desktop, RPi 3B, 256gb SD, 5v 2.1A 5,200 mAH USB battery. EasyMSX controller mounted with Pimoroni Hyperpixel 4 (non touch). Also running 4.6 on a 4gb Pi 4 serving as my primary desktop computer now.
