Possible Solution for STATIC NOISE on ALL Rpi Zero builds
-
Adafruit should have the solution for the static noising using PWM sounds. They use I2S!
I suggested this baby on my latest build
I think the issues that me and @adamspc hit are caused by the design of the RPi0, because the guys in adafruit talking about static sound if you transfer files or if the CPU is working :)
Go to 6:30 - they are talking about RETROPIE
Go to 13:30... So they are talking about:
- Digital sound
- no noising
- mix to left mono, right mono and by default stereo mix :)
- Enjoy your builds ...!
Knowledge is power

But I purchased one of the I2S-baby for 6€ - may the farce be with me :)

So...
Today I installed the littel "I2S+Amp" device (called Adafruit MAX98357 I2S) in my latest build. The static sound is completly gone! It's crystal clear sound. I got two more wires to solder to my RPi. GPIO18 is used as usal, GPIO19 and GPIO21 are added.
The power is used from the old PAM module, no need to power it from the Pi by wiring PIN1 and a ground Pin.Definitly worth the money :)
