Controller and Keyboard not Working after Reboot
-
My controller and keyboard were working when I first downloaded retro pi and set it up.
But when I turned my pi off and on again my controller and keyboard did not work even thought they were connected. By the way I am using a xbox one controller connected by a usb cable and a wireless keyboard. -
Please read and provide more information as detailed here - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first and as agreed when registering on the forum.

I used pi model 3 b and everything works but when I go on the menu screen it won't let me do anything on it even though my keyboard and controller are connected
-
It's really like the ports aren't working because the pi is not reading that they are connected to it
-
But I know the ports are working because I used a USB to download roms.

What power supply are you using (what are the output specs on it ? - eg 5v Xamps)
Please also read the link again - you should provide more than just which raspberry pi model. eg retropie version etc.
-
Could the problem be that I pulled the plug on the pi to shut it down.
-
Please provide more information as requested.
-
I put my version in my tag and my power supply came with my pi and it is a canakit 5 volt output power supply

It would be wise to include information in the post as well as using tags - eg copying the template from the read me first topic, and filling out the details.
Did you initially configure the keyboard or controller on Emulation Station ? you mentioned Ports - is it a particular game not working, or are you unable to navigate at all in the menu ?
You can try a fresh image also, in case it is related to some sdcard corruption. Might be easier than trying to debug this.
