      I am using a Linux VM with Linux Mint 18 with Retropie 4.02. I downloaded the Mame 2003 Reference Set update 2 and loaded all the galaga roms from them. None of them seem to work so I rebuilded them through clrmamepro and retried. Still none of them work.

        I am using a Linux VM with Linux Mint 18 with Retropie 4.02.

        the crucial part. i'm guess any libretro core you try to run wouldn't work, and i'm guessing the problem is from using GL within a VM. i think the only way you'd get this to work would be to build retroarch without gl support entirely. that's not supported through the script AFAIK.

          @dankcushions I'm not sure how to build RetroArch without gl support. BTW I do have a port of Duke Nukem running if that makes any difference.

            @dankcushions I was able to get Galaga to work by disabling the video driver. Apparently it was using a proprietory driver. That said I cannot get the sound to work. I will do a separate post on that issue.
