    What's different between the Pi 0/1 version and the Pi 2/3 version?

      Yes, I tried looking this up on the official website, the wiki, and by searching the forum first.

      I see there are two versions of the RetroPie image, one for Pi 0/1 and another for Pi 2/3. I understand you can't take a Pi 3 image and load it on a Pi 0, but I'm not sure why. What I'm curious about is what's different about the two versions? I don't necessarily mean at a very specific level (I probably wouldn't understand that anyway), but is it just that one is optimized for different hardware? Are some things installed or defaulting differently between the two versions?

        @obsidianspider short answer: the builds are optimised for diff hardware. Armv6, armv7, armv8
