Poor graphic with SNES NES and MegaDrive #graphics
-
Hello, I'm using the last version of retropie but the only emulator with cool graphic is mame.
When I use snes or megadrive I can see the pixel and the graphic seem 4bit instead of 16bit.
Which setting can I change to improve the graphic.?#graphic

@vincedj The graphics are what they've always been on those systems. You're seeing them on a 1080p high definition television instead of the 480i CRT for which they were designed.
You can use shaders to give them a more "retro" look. The crt_pi shader is fast and a personal favorite of mine. Or if you just want to get rid of the jagged blockiness of it all, you can enable video smoothing.
Both shaders and video smoothing can be enabled through the Configuration Editor. I find it is safer to use that than trying to change and save things in RGUI.

I'm using a 4/3 lcd screen with adapter hdmi to vga.

@vincedj Unless the resolution of that screen is 640x480, the image is being upscaled, and everything I posted still applies.

@vincedj Can you either take a screen shot with RetroArch or a photo of the screen to show what you mean?

you are the best !!!!! thank so much !!!

Which solution worked for you?

I've enabled shaders and video smoothing through the Configuration Editor
