      Hi all.,

I have my Rasberry Pi 2 loaded with all the relevant emulators i want and also Kodi, the issue i am having is this. within Emulation station the controller is working OK, however once i go into the relevant emulator ihave to use the keyboard to play the games. I have noticed that when i launch Kodi, the controller does work in there OK, i can navigate around perfectly fine, if i launch any games it suggests i have more then xbox controller attached.

I am a complete noob when it comes to linux but i am a quick learner, what steps can i carry out to try and rectify this problem? i think this machine is awesome so would lik eto get it working to its full capabilities.

      Richard

Thanks for the response, How do i access this menu, is it via the "retropie" settings with Emulation Station? when i go in there i get a black screen with various option on it

          Audio Settings
          Bluetooth
          configedit
          dispmanx
          esthemes
          filemanager
          raspiconfig
          retroarch
          rpsetup
          runcommand
          showip
          splashscreen
          wifi

I can also see from the crib sheet that i can run this script via the terminal window, how do i access that? reading around it suggests F4 but this is not working for me. Thanks in advance and apologies for all the questions.

Ok got a little further, managed to configure the xbox360 controller within the script as per the above guide, the light on the controller is now solid and appears to be operational within the gui of Emulation station and kodi, however as soon as i go into the megadrive emulator, i have no control. I have to revert to the keyboard. any help is appreciated.

Try taking a look here. Depending on what emulator you are using, you have to configure things differently.

Hey Richard, got the same issue with the XBox360 wireless controllers only working in emulationstation menu and not ingame. Opened a thread about this not too long ago. The first controller I think is registering as the third or second one in emulationstation, even though the solid green light is showing it as the primary one. That is why the games won't respond. This is what I found from my experience. Still waiting for a solution though...
