PPSSPP Not Detecting 8BITDO FC30 Pro Gamepad
-
Pi Model: 3
RetroPie Version Used: 4.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image
USB Devices connected: Keyboard, 2TB WD Portable HDD
Controller used: 8BITDO FC30 PRO (Over Bluetooth)
Error messages received: None
Guide used: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Setting-up-an-8bitdo-Bluetooth-controller
Emulator: PPSSPPAfter following the guide above, my controller works fine with every Lib-Retro emulator I've used, but when I open up PPSSPP (I installed from source), plug in my keyboard and go to the controller tab in the settings to map my keys, It refuses to acknowledge the key presses of my controller.
I would just use the default emulator, but last time I had this set up (I was using a Dualshock 4 at the time) the performance boost was worth it.

It may not be compatible. Which firmware are you running on the 8bitdo controller ? (do you have the 8bitdo hack on or off in the bluetooth settings ?)
-
I'm using 1.71, and have the 8bitdo hack turned off.

So, after a bit of frustration I've installed DS4DRV and am using a ps4 controller to play my psp games, which gave me an idea.
The FC30 has an "extended" firmware which allows you to connect to devices such as the ps3 or wii. What do you think about installing that and setting it up as a ps3 controller? I'll try it out this weekend once my new laptop gets here.

Were you able to get the 8bitdo controller working?
