Common Ground question

Hi,

I have 2 x arcade joystiq's and button sets built into a bartop arcade.

I have the ground for both player 1 and player 2 buttons on a single daisy loop and then running into player 2 ground (along with the player 2 joystiq ground).

Player 1 joystiq ground runs to player one ground.

My question is this:

Do i need to split the player one and player 2 button grounds and run them into player 1 and player 2 ground separately, or, is it ok for them to run to the player 2 ground together?

I've done this and it all appear to work fine....

You do not need to split them and you can use a common ground.
