Pi Mode: 2 B+
RetroPi build: ? Last November - not sure on the exact numberLadies/Gents
May I thank you again on an amazing product, as a 40+ something i LOVE tinkling around with the RetroPi and enjoying the oldskool games and the memories they bring.
RetroPi Life was good, all working with the Plan to build a proper "cabinet" to house the Pi in a funzone when time allowed, HOWEVER I was still having trouble "mapping" my joystick to the VICE (C64) emulator, knowing I hadn't updated for a while (6 months at least) i did the "Update Retro PI" from the main menu.
It ran scripts etc, un packed, it was taking a good while so i left it to run overnight.
I woke up to find the script had froze, mid "unpacking" /extracting ...gutted, but i figured that's OK i could rewrite an old image backup and go again... HOWEVER
I find the microSD card (that was in the Pi) is no longer able to be read in Windows (it isn't even detected - other are) AND the Pi doesn't read other Pi installs (I have a XBMC build) - it simply stops on the rainbow screen.
It feels that BOTH Pi AND SD card are defunked , how might this be? any advice? anyone experienced similar or suggestions on solutions.
I have had my eye on a Pi 3 for a while and am happy to invest however this does seem like a dramatic solution to the problem.
Cheers

@Slighty sounds like a corrupted SD if you have the funds to secure a pi 3 I'd recommend it. Very happy with mine compared to the pi2.
