RetroPie on Raspberry Pi zero
-
Hello,
So kinda new to actually doing stuff with raspberry pi but i have been watching videos for a long time and have had two pi zeros laying around for the kids at work. Well over the weekend I ordered a pi 3 to create a retropie with after the disappointment of not getting a NES classic edition. My pi 3 RetroPie station is working great and I decided this would be a great first project to do with the kids at work but first i wanted to do one to bring it in and just show it to them. So I loaded retropie up onto another SD card, plugged it into my pi 3 to load roms onto it from a flash drive. Then i plugged it into the pi zero and plugged that all up to the tv and am now getting a weird screen with an old style joysticks made of * and @ displaying filesystem information such as uptime, memory, processes running, ip address (nonexistent as it is a pi zero), and temperature. Any idea why this is happening or suggestions as to what I should do?
Update: I tried reformatting the SD card reimaging it with RetroPie and starting over but directly on the Pi Zero but it once more ended up on the same screen.
Thanks,
Jeddhaury

You need to use the pi1/Zero image. The rpi2/3 image won't work on the zero.

Wow I feel so dumb, i guess I forgot it was a different image for those.
