Original Xbox Controller working on Raspberry Pi 2B but not Raspberry Pi Zero
-
Hey guys!
Just got my Raspberry Pi Zero and wanted to do the old fat Xbox hack, but I can't seem to get the button presses to recognize on the Zero.I've installed the newest RetroPie + Xpad and when I boot my SD installation of RetroPie up on the Pi 2B it recognizes the controller and I can configure everything and play. But on my Raspberry Pi Zero, it says "1 game pad detected" as well but when I press any buttons nothing works! Only difference in setup is the controller converts to mini USB in the Zero (but still gets recognized, just not button presses).
I have checked the xpad files are in the user/source folders they're supposed to be in.
Pi Model: 2B and Zero
RetroPie Version Used: 4.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website for 0/1
USB Devices connected: Controller + power
Controller used: Original Xbox ControllerAny help is greatly appreciated! :)
EDIT: Now the Raspberry Pi Zero only boots up to the command line, white screen or a black screen - either of those 3 seems random. Wtf? :(

you will probably need a powered usb hub for the controller.
