How to replicate the problem: See description below...Hi guys,
I am relatively new to the RPi fold, so have muddled through and tried to work things out with minimal posting here in an attempt to learn to figure things out myself, but this one I'm a bit stumped on.
I've recently (as of yesterday) installed UAE4ALL (i don't seem to be able to find UAE4ALL2?) from within Retropie. I had a play around with settings etc in order to get the games up and running. It took me about an hour or so, but I got there. The issue I have at the moment is when I quit the emulator. You literally click 'Quit', it stops running the emulator and I'd expect to see the main Retropie menu appear back on screen, but this doesn't happen. Instead, it exits the emulator, the screen goes black and thats it. I sat for 10 minutes with it this evening just to see if it did anything, but nothing. The only way to return to the main menu is to literally turn it off by the socket. On this black screen, you are able to type but it's like a text editor, it doesn't acknowledge anything you enter.
Also I have had an issue with game music, primarily intro music: they tend to be with Team 17 titles: mainly Alien Breed, but i noticed it doing the same when Trolls AGA version (don't laugh, it's nostalgic!) was loading: the sound keeps cutting out; only briefly mind you. I'm wondering if it's more than a dodgy .adf, because it affects the display on my Sony amp. I have the RPi connected via HDMI to my Amp, so when it detects a signal change (for example Dolby 2.0 to 5.1 when watching TV), it briefly displays the sound setting on the display then returns to the name of that channel (in this case I've programmed it RPi). So to me, it's saying that the amp is detecting a change.
I have this evening run the updater within Retropie and it spent a good 25 minutes updating loads of stuff: but the UAE4ALL emulator is still behaving in exactly the same way.
Anybody any ideas as to what may be causing these issues? I couldn't say if they were present in Retropie 4.0.2 because I didn't have it installed at that point...
Thanks in advance!
Dan
