Keyboard won't type in emulation station, but arrow keys are recognized
-
My Raspberry pi 2 B running retropie won't recognize what I type with my keyboard, but only within emulationstation. (It works fine in the terminal). It recognizes the arrow keys and the backspace, but it won't let my type when I try to rename games or something similar. I just update my pi from Retropie setup (I used "Update all installed packages"), but now the keyboard won't work correctly. When I launch raspi-config or retropie setup, the screen goes black for a second and on the black screen all the letters that I typed are there, they just aren't being read by emulationstation or something like that. The keyboard works when I use the keys as buttons, (A,B, L1, R1) but it won't let me type.

When did you update?
-
@BuZz I updated yesterday afternoon, (November 22, 2016), so it should be version 4.1.
-
@Ladyslayer0160 the only problem I am aware of was an sdl2 update that was reversed. You can try updating all packages just in case you somehow updated before it was fixed.

@Ladyslayer0160 sorry to bring this up. I just got the same problem. I can't use the keyboard or joystick up and down after update. but works fine in terminal. Have you resolve this issure yet? Thanks!
