Main menu and on-screen help enable/disable?

Hello is it possible to disable the Main menu from coming up when i hit the start button on my keyboard? It is driving me nuts. Maybe by using a goip pin if tied to ground it can disable it. And if i untie it from ground it can come back?

Second thing same thing with the bottom menu. Is it possible to hide that part as well?

Start is supposed to bring up that menu. A is how you go into a system and select a game. If you really don't want it though, you can look at the child friendly EmulationStation.

Hello it's not that i don't want it is because i keep hitting it all the time and it is irritating me a little when i keep hitting the enter button and it brings up that menu.

Yes i need the start button the enter button while in the game i know that. I don't want to get rid of it. I only want to temporary disable it while I'm selecting the game and if i need i back to change settings later that's all.

All i wanted to do is disable the enter button while in the game selection area. But still be able to use the enter button for the stop and pause game while in the game. Unless there is a way to map the Menu to another button or key?

Hello My question was to temporary hide the main menu so i don't hit it or remap it to a different button. From from what i have seen was to change the whole way of my setup by putting it into a kids mode then if i want the menu back i have to put it in full mode. Which would even be more crazy to me sense i spend a lot of time trying to get it just right the way i like it with the theme game controller my screen and whatnot. Now i would have to change all that. Couldn't there be a more easy way of just hiding the menu temporary or at least putting it on a GPIO pin for enable and disable it? would make it so much easy for people who are having this problem like I'm.
