How to prevent Usb Automatically transferring roms?
-
ive been trying to run roms off of a usb drive. Originally, i plugged the usb drive in, then took it out after it was mounted and moved the roms to it, then plugged it back in. At first this seemed to work great, but I couldnt install any experimental packages because of space issues, and then i found this was because all of the roms were automatically being transferred to the sd card. i found this here https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Running-ROMs-from-a-USB-drive which seemed to work at first, but i ran into problems trying to install kodi, and the ReroPie option in the main menu disappeared. Is there a way i can just plug in a usb device and run Some roms of it, without transferring, while still having the main RetroPie and Ports options still run off the sd card? Also im running RetroPie 3.8.1 3.8.1 not retropie 4 as the new version seemed to be missing many systems and was proving to be more work than it was worth
