Netplay - Retroarch 4 players (2pl + 2pl)
-
Hi, recently I have been playing some games with Retroarch, all was perfect and awesome, but we couldn´t play 4 players games (2 players in one rpi + 2 players in another rpi), I was looking in internet for some info and into the rpi menus but I didn´t found anything.
It´s due to the controllers assigment?, I thought if one rpi knows that got 1 + 2 controller connections and my friend too, maybe it gets confused (didn´t try to set up one rpi with 3 + 4 controller connection!).
P.D.: Me and my friend got the same rpi, updates, emus, roms... like a clone SD.
Thx in advance for your time.
Pi Model: B+
RetroPie Version Used: 4.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image
USB Devices connected: 2 controller (snes copy usb) + 1 keyboard (logitech)
Emulator: lr-fbalpha, lr-mame2003, lr-picodrive -
if its an exact clone, that's great and it should work, but you need to make sure both Pi's aren't named the same. That's where the confusion happens with the devices communicating.
just use the command and change one of their names in 2 files.
hosts and hostnamesudo nano /etc/hosts
sudo nano /etc/hostnamethen reboot the entire raspberry device.

Strange answer but I´ll try that, thx!!!

Morning,
I'm experiencing a similar problem when trying to do the same thing (2 pi's, 2players on each for TMNT in MAME) - where the client Pi will load fine and connect to the host but none of the controllers work once connected. Did this fix the issue?Regards
