      Pi Model: 0
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: iBuffulo control pad connected via 4 port USB hub
      Controller used: iBuffulo Snes pad
Error messages received: No Gamepad Detected
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): ?
      Guide used: https://howchoo.com/g/mti0oge5nzk/pi-cart-a-raspberry-pi-retro-gaming-rig-in-an-nes-cartridge
      File: n/a
      Emulator: n/a
      Attachment of config files: ?
How to replicate the problem: ?

I have no experience with raspberry pi but after watching the howchoo youtube vid and reading the guide I decided to give it a shot. It advises no keyboard is required you can just use the controller. Everything was going great until I got to the gamepad screen and it displays no gamepad detected. I plugged the pad into my laptop and it recognised it both with and without the hub.

I have no idea how to rectify this - any ideas? Please keep in mind I was just expecting to plug and play - I have no idea when it comes to keying commands! I do have a mac keyboard that I can plug in if necessary.

      Thank you

      Jody

@Miss check the rating of your power supply and also which USB ports you are using. What is in where?

Make sure you have the controller plugged in the correct USB port.

You can power the Zero from either, but only one has the USB data pins connected.

Power is on the right side of the photo.
