Material Theme

@lilbud feel free to edit the post with your release. Also feel free to update your github repository with the completed theme as I'd like to test it
-
@lilbud a few thoughts, I have maybe 20-30+ systems on my testing build and a new thing is happening: black screen of death! ha ha but its essentially the same issue as the whitescreen, so I'm wondering if there are ways of simplifying it like we do with carbon to not eat up the RAM as much.
You can look at what rookervik does with the carbon theme background with a tiled png rather than a full image for the background- not sure how much of a difference that would make, but may possibly alleviate it somewhat.
You may also want to reference the systems off the carbon theme as it is more complete than the simple theme
SVGS also are more clear and typically take less memory than pngs
Its looking really good though :)

@herb_fargus I used a tile for all backgrounds, and all logos are .svg files. All changes are made on my github. Try and test it now.
-
@lilbud testing right now :)
-
I will be getting back to this theme soon, been busy with testing and other work.

@herb_fargus
Github repository has been updated, ready for testing. It works on my end, try it now. -
@lilbud out of town for a couple more days but I'll give it a test once I get back and have access to my pi again
-
@lilbud I tested it with ~30 systems and it didnt blackscreen this time so that was good, its much improved. The icons on the retropie menu could probably be improved so they are full size at 512 px by 512 px as they are currently stretched vertically.
I've also added it to the main retropie setup script as an option.
-
@herb_fargus I saw that in my testing, but just thought I was seeing things
-
@herb_fargus Icon size has been fixed. They should be at the proper size now.
-
The theme is now available via the theme installer.
-
Can you add Famicom Disk System, LΓΆve, Kodi, and ResidualVM art to the theme? :)
-
@lilbud Looks like Arcade is still missing, yet it's not listed on the repository as a missing system. I know others have mentioned it. We really need more support in themes for Arcade, as it conveniently allows us to group games regardless of the emulator it takes to run them.

Thanks!

@lilbud Take a look at your RetroPie configs folders, roms folders, etc. You will find one called Arcade. It's part of RetroPie, but theme builders overlook it because it's not a specific emulator. If I put mame roms into the Arcade folder, I can use runcommand to choose whether I want them to launch with any version of mame or FBA. The problem is this: If I do this using your theme, I get no theme graphics. It's like you are forgetting an emulator, and it looks all generic and horrible.
If you happen to use FBA and multiple versions of MAME for a complicated set of ROMs, using Arcade is a godsend because it unites all of these under one generic SYSTEM called Arcade.

@RetroPieNerd @caver01
Theme has been updated with requested systems
-
@lilbud Awesome! Yours will be one of just a few that will support the use of Arcade. Gives folks like me more options. I appreciate it!
-
@caver01 I thought more supported it. I must have overlooked it when I was making the theme
