      Hi folks,

I been running a retropie setup for a while now and i have never bothered to change the default password. Am i at any risk, is it a back door into my network should i change it? It has always kind of bothered me but am i worrying needlessly?

      Thx!

Yes, especially since you're worrying about it

is it a back door into my network

It's probably more of a front door but it could be if you have ports opened to the world in your router to your Raspberry Pi.

Pointless IMO just use a network password and only allow what you want on your own network.
I think the risk is very very low that someone wants to hack onto your network and access the pi
