      I'm unclear on how to get my controllers working with MAME Roms and things like Doom. At the moment I'm just trying to get my USB wired Logitech controllers working. But I do have a couple of Bluetooth PS3 controllers I'll work with if I get this figured out.

      The controllers do work with Retropie and the Nintendo etc. emulators. But how do I get MAME to recognize them?

      Thanks.

        Howdy Friend,
        You can do 1 of two things.
        It seems you are currently setup to use Mame4all-Pi
        Which is the better of the 2 mame emulators...assuming you are using mame4all since you didnt mention which flavor of mame you are using.
        For that one you will need to hit TAB with a keyboard plugged in...then setup your controller through the menu.
        Or tap A when a game is launching
        Then switch the emulator to
        lr-imame4all
        Which reads the controller config from retroarch...like Nintendo etc.
        Hope this helps!

          @Shakz
          So I shouldn't default to lr-imame4all? When my controllers weren't working I tried changing the default emulator but still no joy.

          I was unaware of the "A" option. I will try that. Thanks.

            Actually I think the default is Mame4All. It does a better job at emulation but again...the controller issues.
