I am currently in the process of setting up a RetroPie for my daughter. Everything is going along just as it always does, until I get to the point where I have to edit the config files for some controllers. Normally I pop out the SD card and edit the files on my computer (my bluetooth keyboard is not very good), but for some reason the "retroarch-joypads" folder does not appear. I have made sure that the "show hidden folders" option is enabled (even though this has never been necessary), and I have gone into the terminal through my RetroPie setup and see that the folder is visible when I access it this way. My path via terminal is: opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads on the computer, obviously, there is no retroarch-joypads folder. I can find the files at opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig but this is not where I would normally go to edit these files, and the retroarch.cfg file points to opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads as the spot for the autoconfig directory. This is very confusing to me as I have never had this issue pop up before, and I have no idea why I am unable to see this folder on my computer. I would be eternally grateful to anyone who has any ideas as to what might be going on or how I might go about correcting this situation.

@jabberwock101 the other is a shortcut to this spot. Do it here.

Yes, I figured that it was the shortcut, but my concern is less about how to edit the files (I've already done that), and more a question of why the folder has suddenly decided not to show up.
