Retropie shield based on MCP23017 mk_arcade_joystick_rpi

Hello,
I have a retropie shield based on MCP23017 Chip and I've installed the mk_arcade_joystick_rpi drivers.Works fine on Retropie 3.5 but when I installed on Retropie 3.6 instead of 12 buttons I see only 8 buttons .
I use jstest /dev/input/js0 and I see 8 buttons but on retropie 3.5 I see 12 buttons
Where is the config file to adjust the problem ?
