Sega / Mega CD Roms question
-
Hi all,
I have a number of Sega / Mega CD ROMs which are stored in the following RetroPie unsupported format-
ROMNAME.ccd
ROMNAME.img
ROMNAME.subDoes anyone know a method to convert to the supported format of-
ROMNAME.cue
ROMNAME(TrackXofY).iso
ROMNAME(TrackYofY).wavI have been able to convert to ROMNAME.iso but unable to get either the .cue and .wav files, which I assume are required. I've searched elsewhere but have been unable to find a decent post on how to 'create' a Sega / Mega CD rom from the .img file.
Do we have any experts in the house?
Many thanks in advance,
Darix

I used Alcohol 52% to create a virtual drive, loaded any segacd, ps1, or pcengine games that weren't in the format retropie supported, and made bin\cue's of that. I don't remember if i converted from ccd/img but I did convert some of those games with multiple .wav files to just 1 bin and 1 cue file.

I believe that if you have an .iso you don't need any of the others. It's self contained. The other format is .bin/.cue (and sometimes .wav if there is music tracks)... In that case, the .cue file is just a text file with the layout information of the CD. The .bin file is the actual cd data.

@Darix i would try sega cue maker. .ccd should work with it. Not sure about the other two. You can also try renaming it to .bin then running sega cue maker if it doesnt work the other way. Yes i know its a different format but i have gotten several games to work that way in the past.
