Waveshare 3.5 inch LCD screen

I bought the 3.5inch RPi LCD (A),It's works with the pre-loaded Raspbian image.
But I cannot work with Retropie image,So my question is how can I use retropie with
the 3.5 inch LCD screen?

Is it suitable for Waveshare LCD screen?
The website seems to be adafruit not Waveshare.
