Sort of like in Attract Mode and the specific folders like Top 100, Mario Games, Sonic Games, etc. Does anybody else create their own game folders for specific types of games?

I figured the only way to do it at the moment is to copy (for example) the Mario rom files into a new folder. Create a section for it in your es_systems.cfg file, then manually choose the emulator for each game in your particular folder. Then copy one of the theme folders and change the svg pictures to whatever you wanted it to be.

May be a little time consuming but my nieces may like this so I may end up doing this. Anybody know of a quicker way?

You can create a favourites list using emulation station kids mode. It's installable through the Retropie setup script.

Retropie in a NES - Pi 3 with Mausberry circuit shutdown switch wired to buttons and 8bitdo NesPro30 controller
Retropie in a Saturn Controller - Pi Zero, GPIO controls using DB9 driver
        Retropie in a PSX - Pi3

I'm aware of the favorites mod.

But I was looking for something more geared at collections like having all MARIO games in one section within ES
