      Hey All,

      Really apologize for my first post being in tech and support. I hope I will be able to contribute in the future. A couple friends on another forum turned me onto the Raspberry Pi, and I finally broke down and got one off Amazon this week. Was excited when it came in a day early and spent most the night doing research and formatting etc etc.

      I thought I was finally about get rolling. And I did a restart of the Em Station and went to the screen, below. I re-formatted, logged back into retro-pie and it did it all over again. So Im at my quitting point. Searched all up and down google, called my friends who have the Retro Pie and none had this issue.

      What am I doing wrong, and how do I get out of this screen below. I am so bummed out, I put a lot of time into this tonight and didn't even get 1 second of gaming in. I'm fairly competent on computers and entry level with programming (at best), this made me feel like my 90 year old grandfather.

      Heres what my screen looks like, I can't get any basic commands to work to permanently get off this screen.

      Cheers!

        @mpat15

        It's likely a bad SD card. Do you have another to test?

          Type "emulationstation" without quotes. This should load ES (RetroPie). Go into the RetroPie config menu on the GUI. Choose RetroPie Setup > Configuration / tools > 002 autostart... choose 1 start ES at boot. Cancel back to GUI, and reboot...
