At the moment the UI dims after X minutes. Is it possible to make that a complete turn-off for the HDMI out, so that the monitor turns off. It would basically allow me to keep the cab powered on without burning my screen backlight.

@blanka Please do not post a support request without first reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first (which is at the top of every page, and has to be agreed to when registering)

You should also post help question to the "Help and Support" area. Topic moved.

There is currently no screen off in currently ES, but it may be achievable with some background script - but depends what you are running on - under X you might be able to use an X screensaver/power saving tool for example. (I'm guessing you are on a RPI but you don't actually say).

@BuZz Why do you assume we don't read it when you are suggested to do so quite some times during registration? Just thought is it not relevant to flush the forum with tons of code to begin with. I'm used that if someone has an idea where to look to provide more details on a second turn.

@blanka because you provided none of the requested information. It doesn't say to ignore it and decide when you think it's relevant to provide it.
