So I've been playing Abe's Odyssey, and it's been working great, but after several hours I figured out oh dang if I reset the game all my work is gone. After learning how to save and load states, which work great in all other systems including my other PS game Breath of Fire III, but I find in Oddworld it locks the game in a strange way. Sounds will keep going but the game is stuck and I can't move, and if I save and load in the menu, animations will keep playing and I'll be able to navigate the options, but as soon as I make a selection it freezes.

I just want to save all the Modokuns, can someone help? What can be going wrong here?

I'm using everything from the CanaKit on Amazon which has:

Made in UK Raspberry Pi 3 (RPi3) Model B Quad-Core 1.2 GHz 1 GB RAM
32 GB MicroSD Card (Class 10) - Raspberry Pi Recommended MicroSD Card with NOOBS
      USB MicroSD Card Reader
CanaKit 2.5A Micro USB Power Supply with Noise Filter (UL Listed) specially designed for the Raspberry Pi 3 (5-foot cable)
