Hello, so I had bought this TFT Screen here:
      https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FXC5ECS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So came in the mail and I hooked it up to my Pi3 Model B. The CD it came with has the drivers and the how-to manual.
It says to copy the .tar.gz file to the CD scard, putty into the Pi, extract it and run the command to install the driver but I get an error message:

So it reboots, but doesn't fully come up on the screen. Itll show and look like it's booting up but then goes to a black screen with nothing on it.

Any help to maybe figure out what's goin on?

      EDIT:
When it's on the black screen, I am able to bring up the console with a USB Keyboard, but when I run the emulation station. it goes to a black screen again.

        Bump

So I decided to rename the xorg.conf.d with:
        mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d-old

Then I got a different error:

        So I then ran:
        mkdir /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d

I then reinstalled the driver, no issues this time, now when it's loading it loads through the boot process but gets to "[ OK ] Started LSB: Start NTP daemon." and hangs there. Doesn't get any further. :X
Was able to run "raspi-config" and changed it to boot to CLI and login and such, and disabled "Wait for Network on boot" or something similar to that wording, as well as expanded the file system. Reboot and I log in, I can get to black screen, but nothing on it again. I alt+F4 to bring up the CLI again, and I run "emulationstation" but it goes back to the black screen and nothing.

@obsidianspider did a kind of How-To in this thread so congrats to him for keeping all links in one posting.
Be carefull the 3.2" TFT uses annother resolution (and other overlays??) than your 3.5"
