C64 error

I am attempting to play the f451 game on the vice emulator, however on start up it is telling me to "unplug" all peripherals except my keyboard and one disk drive. I went through the machine settings menu and made sure that it wasn't emulating any joysticks but it is still giving me this error and as a result not letting me start the game. Has anybody else encountered this problem and if so how do I fix it?
