Xin Mo - joystick/buttons not working with genesis or turbo graphx

USB Devices connected: Keyboard, usb powered speakers, xin mo joystick/buttons

How to replicate the problem:I have my xin mo joystick and 6 buttons setup and working in NES, SNES, MAME, atari.
It seemed to be working in turbo grafx and genesis, but it randomly stops working...
I'm not sure what changed or caused this to stop working.

turns out my xin mo had some quality issues...
button 9/10 when pressed would disconnect the xin mo... i changed from P0 to P1 to confirm this...they are sending me a new one.
