So i just recently purchased a raspberry pi zero about 3 days ago and already have it programed to play my favorite games and couldn't be more happy. My next project will be building a 4 player arcade with all the MAMA's i can find.

So my question is, should i use a raspberry for that or do i need to get some sort of PC system. I am trying to keep things as compact as possible. This cabinet will be just the stand and joystick button set up, which will hook up to any tv with HDMI. Thanks for help

Yes, you should use a Raspberry.

Then a Pi it must surely be.

If cost doesn't matter to you, you can pickup a super small 'desktop' computer for a couple hundred bucks and it'll literally be like 10 times faster than the Raspberry Pi 3 (mainly because it'll have a fully-functioning video card doing most of the graphics overhead). If you're a fan of the latter MAME 3d games this is a must. If you're just playing classics from the 70's into the 80's then a Pi would be just fine.
