PCSX-rearmed: How to change controls consistently?

Hi,

I try to use pcsx-rearmed (not lr-pcsx-rearmed) on my RetroPie. It works fine except that when I change controls, the new configuration will not be saved, thus I need to change them every time when I restart the emulator.

When I try to save the controls in the pcsx-rearmed-menu it only gives a message that says something like "Failure to save controls".

Do you know what I need to change to make it working?

PS: I know that when I run the pcsx-script (/opt/retropie/emulators/pcsx-rearmed/pcsx) as superuser, it works since it has the permission to create the file to save the controls inside. However I don't know how to run that script as superuser from Emulationstation.
