Here are a list of options for this, I will be updating this thread when I get one figured out for my controller :)

I tried antimicro and had it installed but it wasn't functioning properly.

I finally succeded after entering the following and rebooting
          sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-joystick

Left stick acts as the mouse
Right stick acts as the mouse wheel
          Select acts as left click
          R3 acts as right click
L3 acts as mouse wheel click

Then just add a shortcut to the virtual keyboard on the desktop for convenience

          Enjoy

The default virtual keyboard (matchbox-keyboard) has an issue where the desktop becomes unresponsive while the keyboard is open, so use xvkbd instead. I'll edit this post with instructions later
