RetroPie with Alexa
-
I have a RetroPie setup with Kodi configured and all is working well at this time. I love the way it is working, with a few exceptions that I'm working through, but now I want to expand on it and allow it to do more.
Most of the time, it sits idly as we watch regular TV, just listen to music, or are in another room, so it has a lot of free clock cycles to be doing more work. FYI: I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3 as the host computer.
Anyway, I want to also use the RPI3 to run Alexa and make a homebrew Amazon Echo/Dot. However, I am foreseeing a minor problem with audio output potentially going to the wrong device.
IE: I want the Alexa audio output to go to a Bluetooth audio device, or a directly connected 1/4" jack speaker, and all of the Kodi/RetroPie output to be pushed out through the HDMI port.
Is this possible?

Kodi uses it's own audio settings so if you want to use the 3.5mm audio jack with Kodi, you have to go into Kodi's Audio menu and change it to your 3.5mm audio jack (or both HDMI and 3.5mm).
