Emulation station crash

So I recently downloaded the entire n64 collection yay me :) but the sad part is after placing them on a hard drive and configuring the ROM location with sudo nano /ect/emulationstation/es_system.cfg. emulation station crash's when trying to load
Previously I have set up psx and that works fine from the hardrive no crash at all but now when I boot it just crashes to splash screen then goes to terminal. If I unplug the hardrive it works fine but then no games :(

Fixed it was a corrupt drive
