transfer of games from computer to USB stick
-
i had games on my USB already and had no problem moving files from the computer to the USB prior to transferring over to retropie(using a pi zero). but now i add more roms to my computer i try to move them over to my USB. i get a idle message as if they are being xferred over but when i look for the file, its not there. i dont think my USB is maxed out and i have tried zipping and unzipping the files. any ideas?

@tendo_nerd12 Not really sure what you are saying the problem is. Are you having issues transferring ROMs onto the USB? Try reformatting it and creating the "retropie" folder on the USB again. Plug it into the Pi, once it stops flashing, remove it and transfer ROMs as before. You say you "don't think" it's full. it's very easy to check.

@tendo_nerd12 Have you tried using WinSCP or Samba? It's so much easier over the network.

@AlexMurphy yes sir, when i move the rom from my computer file to the USB it doesnt acctually move over for some reason. but i will try what you have suggested, also, i have an empty USB and am going to start from scratch with that. i appreciate your time and input.

@tendo_nerd12 What Alex means is you can upload the ROMS via your network to your Pi. And he's right it's much easier to upload them via your network.
If you're on Windows in Windows Explorer add \\retropie\ in the directory bar and hit enter. Click on the roms folder and copy n paste the roms in the right console folder.
