      Hi

I am a complete linux noob, and this is my first time playing with a Pi,

I have a Pi3 B with a retropie install which was updated about 5 days ago. Running from a 64gb SD card with no apparent issues. I have the Cannakit 2.5A power supply and the little heatsinks that come with it are attached, it is all in a 3d printed enclosure, with no active cooling.
I have run the system fine for several weeks, I have played PSX games on it with no overheating issues at all.

I then purchased a DS4 controller, I used it via USB for a week, then I spent the last few days trying to get it to work with USB. I have to use the ds4drv method, I had to omit the --hidraw part, and then I finally got it to work.

Within 5 mins of getting it to work I saw the thermometer icon pop up on the screen when just at idle. This had never happened before.

I hit F4 and got the temp from the info displayed there and it was 75C .

I have read elsewhere that someone had issues with the CPU running at 80% at idle when the ds4drv was running on it. This would seem to tally with what I have seen about temps.

Can anyone help me to confirm that ds4drv is the issue? it is very coincidental that it happened literally within 5 mins of getting it paired with the controller.

      Thanks in advance

(ps I have searched for this problem and not found an answer, if there is one I apologise for the post, )
