Sooo, I was installing pixel on my RPI via the config tools in retropie and as it was installing, one of my ferrets decided it'd be super cool to unplug the power source as it was installing. Now when I turn it on it takes emulation station and pretty much any game I want to play about 4 to 5 minutes to load. Is there any way to fix this? Am I missing a very simple solution? Am I completely fucked? Anybody want a free ferret? Any help and guidance would be most appreciated. Thank you all so much. Please help.

Firstly, swearing is not required on this forum in my opinion. Second, pulling the cord at anytime is a risky business but doing it during some kind of install or update process will probably corrupt your card. You need to re-image it. If it fails, you need a new card.

@rbaker hey now as he said, it was his ferret that did it. So sounds like his ferret needs a stern talking to about the implications or pulling a plug prematurely. They are awful close to being weasels you know...

Yeah, ferrets are kinda douchey like that. They love getting into things they have no business getting into. Thanks for the links. Hopefully they help. I'd hate to lose my klonoa save file. I'm on the last stage.

@area877 if you dont have linux on a pc use a usb thumbdrive to put ubuntu onto and then you can access the linux partition to get your files off. Saved my butt in a serious way..

Thats why I put my save folder into the rom directory so I can acces it right to my Windows machine.

I FTP into the pi then take out all the ROMs and saves whenever I have to reimage for whatever reason, which is more common then it should be. If you have to reimage it because of your pesky ferrets, I would do that first. There are plenty of great guides just a google away.
