Dreamcast VMU Game Emulator

Any chance we could get a Dreamcast VMU emulator?
I think it would be cool to have a VMU folder within the dreamcast rom folder. It would be especially cool if we could use the VMU saves generated from the games we play, but even if we couldn't it would still be pretty kewl.
I would love to have a dreamcast controller overlay to go with this (especially if it was like the Game & Watch games where it shows the button presses in real time)., but even getting it at all would be awesome!
Do you know what I am saying? Thoughts? Ideas? -
I found "SoftVMS" and tried to run it in the emulator but it didn't work. Here is a link to the source code if it helps:
