Cardboard Mini NES + Nes mini and Famicom mini themes
-
@ruckage yes adding a # to a folder name adds the folder icon.

Hi I couldn't get it to work until I read what you said about updating the pi. I followed the instructions and I updated my pi I deleted the theme manually restarted my pi copied the theme over again and it works perfect. It looks amazing thanks for all your hard work.
-
Thank you for this theme, it works great.
I had to apply the fix for a smaller tv to get the postions correct for text (someone asked in the thread).
I now have the NES-Mini's music in the background with this too. It's nice. :D

Out of curiosity, if we want to downgrade the theme back to the original carousel, or download the older versions of this theme, how could we go about doing that? Thank you for this amazing theme, btw. My family and I absolutely love it!
-
The latest update of the theme looks great but I can't use it use since it's missing icons for these 4 systems: pc, 32x, dreamcast, msx. So they show up as blank spaces when I scroll around. Other than that this is probably the best theme for emulationstation so far. Great job.

How do I install the theme?
-
@CodeDrawer It's in the EmulationStation Themes tab.
-
Great!
-
@ruckage I fixid by modifying the missing.png image offcentering it a bit to the top:
-
I find it lags the games a lot...
-
@CodeDrawer I'm a little confused, it being what?
-
What do you mean @itsnitro
-
"I find it lags the games a lot..."
"it"
What do you mean by it? -
@itsnitro When I'm playing a level in super mario bros 3, the one I've been playing for a while. Before it didn't slow down when I got to the boos, now it does even since I installed the theme.
-
@CodeDrawer I'm assuming it might be all of the data that has to be used for this theme. It's pretty heavy, not gonna lie.
I'm gonna try and see if I notice any differences later today.
-
OK. I'm uninstalling tomorrow if I have the chance.
-
@CodeDrawer
I don't see the need to immediately uninstall the theme. First I'd change the theme, then shutdown the RP, then try and see if it's the theme or something else causing the lag.I'm not saying it isn't the theme causing the lag, I'm just saying it's worth trouble shooting before just blaming something.
Hope you get the lag taken care of though.
-
@Syhles OK I shall.
-
@Syhles @CodeDrawer i would not assume it is the theme that is causing the lag. I have been running my comic book theme which is just as heavy or heavier and not had a problem with lag. I also am not sure that the theme and the front end of ES have anything to do with the performance of the emulator once the emulator rom is launched. I could be wrong, but I had asked about this months ago when building my theme and was told that the memory for the theme shouldnt adversly effect game performance especially on systems like nes.

@TMNTturtlguy
I personally didn't think that theme was causing an issue which I was why I said he should trouble shoot instead of just deciding that it was theme causing it.
