WiiU Pro Controller not configured :-(.
-
Hello. I am using a Raspberry Pi 3 B+. I have attempted to use bluetoothctl (in a terminal window) to get the WiiU Pro controller working. I followed the steps (power on, agent on, press sync button, scan on, pair <MAC address of WiiU Pro controller>, trust <MAC address of WiiU Pro controller>.) The controller shows that the "player 1" light is illuminated. When I go to the Super Nintendo emulator (I'm using SNES 9x 2010) to load a rom, it displays a message (100% Nintendo Wii Pro Controller (1406/816) not configured. This was after I went to the Retropie section to configure Bluetooth, chose Register and Connect to Bluetooth Device, chose the MAC of the Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-UC, selected "NoInputNoOutput," and received confirmation that the device was connected.
The controller allows me to move up and down with the digital pad. I can use the analogue stick (left) once I enter the screen to select options (after I select one of the menu items). Button 'B' allows me to confirm selections. Once I run any emulator, none of the buttons or controls work. I also attempted to go to the button configuration screen (start, configure input, button A), and it detects the WiiU Pro controller. The only problem is that it does not detect the analogue sticks (can't input up, down, left, or right for L3 or R3, there is no way to input X or Y, and no way to add any of the Z trigger buttons).
If anyone has any idea what could have gone wrong (and how to fix this problem), please let me know. I have this sinking feeling that I might need to format my microSD card and start from square one. Please say I'm wrong......Thanks.
