I am looking to build a Pi 3 so I can use RetroPie on my Panasonic CRT television. Has anyone used Pi 3 with the 4-pole jack? Any additional headaches to get the 4:3 aspect and resolution to work?

All I can say is, get a good quality cable. If you buy poor quality one, it will last long and will take crap on you in the long run.
