      Hi.

      I am trying to use my old emulator.cfg for the arcade folder for my most recent retropie setup.

      The problem I'm encountering:
      My old emulators.cfg says something like:
      arcade_1943 = "lr-fbalpha"

      My newest setup just ignores this for the 1943.zip and plays it in mame2010 which is set as the default emulator. After setting it up manually again (Use fbalpha with this rom) and rechecking the emulators.cfg, I see why.

      Must have been Retropie 4.1 which changes everything. Now it says:
      ab23473zt43zbhr372gg3432432 = "lr-fbalpha"

      So it doesn't use the system_filename structure anymore but rather some sort of hash (I still haven't figured out, which one. it's not MD5 though I believe).

      Could you help me somehow to use my old emulators.cfg with the newest setup? I had so much work to set up every emulator with every rom.

      Thanks in advance.

        Which version etc?

        The latest RetroPie-Setup / runcommand does not use hashes, but uses the format as you mention first.

        Perhaps you had updated one system, but not the other ? Update RetroPie-Setup script and see.

          Just updated everything, retested it: WORKING!
          Thanks so much for your help. I was already creating all the MD5 checksums and doing some regex & excel magic to combine all lists LOL

          Thank you! :-)
