I have a setup where some roms run from the sd card and the larger sets (psx, segacd, etc) run from an external hdd. My setup works just fine finding the roms and whatnot. However, I run into issues with ES displaying the scraped images linked in the gamelist.xml for the systems running from the hdd.

I've done my scraping externally on the PC with Universal XML Scraper and manually moved the images and gamelists to their proper locations. All works fine for systems running off of the sd card but I run into a problem for the ones pulling roms off the hdd. I've checked the location paths in the scraper and all are correct. I attempted to put a few roms onto a flash drive (instead of the hdd) and test my gamelists, this worked fine and displayed the metadata and image. Back on the hdd, I initially had one or two systems that seemed to read the gamelist and display metadata but not the images, the others were as if there was no gamelist at all. It's almost as if during boot up, ES doesn't have enough time to retrieve all the proper data and put everything into place because of the size of the stuff on the hdd.

      Any ideas?

I've probably done a crap job explaining and have left out information. Feel free to ask.

        Update:
Started over from square one and rescraped the roms on the hdd. Apparently one of my location paths in the scraper was missing a character or something, because the problem is solved. Images and metadata are now showing for everything. Everyone can quit worrying and stressing now. You may carry on with your lives. ;-)
